Jessica Serrano Seipel, MPH, is a Program Director at JDI. As part of the domestic programs team, Jessica supports community rape crisis centers and corrections agencies in developing partnerships to ensure incarcerated survivors get the help they need. Jessica also supports survivors at a California women’s prison by facilitating trauma-informed art workshops.  Previously, she worked at rape crisis centers, domestic violence programs and sexual health agencies across California as an advocate and educator. She is a trained rape crisis counselor.

Kelly Shelton has Master’s Degrees in Sociology and Addictions/Co-Occurring Disorders Counseling. She is a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor in Minnesota. She has published research in the area of sex offender recidivism. She has worked in the criminal justice system in a variety of capacities: as an advocate for victims of domestic violence, as a research analyst with the Minnesota Department of Corrections, as a pretrial services officer in Ramsey County, Minnesota courts, and as an addictions counselor. She has been the PREA Advocate at RCCCNM for 4 years. She moved from Minneapolis to Albuquerque in 2015 because she was NOT going to go through another polar vortex winter. She lives with her husband and 2 dogs.
